How To Order

Our collars and leashes are handmade with great care using the finest quality fabrics and hardware. You can build your own collars using the drop down menus to select what color webbing, webbing width, collar type and size you want from the drop down menus. If you would like to add custom embroidery to your collar or leash, simply click on the Custom Embroidery tab, and add that to your order. Upon checking out, there will be a place to Add Comments to Your Order. In that box, you can provide an Embroidery Font, Thread Color and text to be embroidered. If ordering more than one collar or leash, specify which item is to be embroidered.

Collar Types

Buckle collar

The buckle collar releases when you squeeze the sides, and is the most common type of collar. Available with a black curved plastic buckle and nickel plated metal slide and D-ring.
Note: Plastic side release buckles may not be appropriate for all dogs, particularly those who pull heavily. It is the responsibility of the owner to make that determination. NEVER use on tie outs.

Limited Slip collar

The limited slip collar gently tightens around the dog's neck from one direction. The amount of slip (tightening up) is limited, unlike a choke collar than can continue to get tighter. This is a great choice for dogs that have wide necks and can easily slip out of collars, as it provides the owner more control, without the choking effects of a choke chain.

Loop Martingale collar

The loop martingale is similar to the limited slip collar, but it gently tightens from both sides. Martingale collars are also known as Greyhound Collars or Humane Choke Collar. The martingale collar was designed for sighthounds because their necks are larger than their heads and they can often slip out of buckle collars. These collars have gained popularity among other breed owners in the recent past with many trainers now recommending them instead of choke chains or choke collars.

Chain Martingale collars

The chain martingale is the same as the loop martingale, but instead of the loop being fabric, this collar has a chain. This gives the dog a correction noise from the chain being pulled on, and quickly releases when no tension in on the leash.

Hidden Pinch collars

The hidden pinch is a martingale collar with a pinch collar sewn inside. Many people are concerned with the negative image they portray by using a pinch collar in public on their dog, but want the added control that it offers. It is a great option for Service Dogs, as well as any dog that gets excited and pulls in public, while not wanting to advertise they are wearing a pinch collar. This collar easily hides the micro pinches (10), on even the shortest coated dogs. The pinches are attached with elastic, which is sewn into the webbing. This collar is a One Size Fits Most, able to fit neck sizes from 14” and up. It has an adjuster on the webbing to ensure a perfect fit on any dog.

Leashes

Leashes are made with durable nylon webbing in either 5/8" or 1" widths. Decorative ribbon is added to one side. They are available in 1 ft, 2 ft traffic and 4ft lengths.

Note: All 1" webbing is heavy weight, except the webbing colors with the * symbol (lavender, raspberry and pink) are medium weight. Still very strong, just not a rigid as heavy weight.

Webbing colors with the ^ symbol is available in 5/8" width as well.
Currently the only color webbing for 1½" & 2" is black.

Embroidery Fonts

Collar Care
Pets like to get messy (well, most of them anyways!), and their collars are bound to get dirty. To clean a collar or leash, hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, and lay flat to dry. DO NOT place in dryer. DO NOT iron. While we do try to choose lasting designs, these are decorative collars. Some printed designs (such as the printed polka dots) may fade with time. Some woven designs (such as the tapestry or flowers) may fray if exposed to excessive scratching. If you find that the webbing of your collar begins to fray, simply run it over an open flame to melt the flyaways back into place.

All pet collars are made with durable nylon webbing and strong, curved (for added comfort) black acetal side release buckles. While our collars are very durable, it is important that you periodically check the collar for signs of wear. We cannot guarantee our products against excessive pulling, chewing, or scratching. Each consumer is responsible for determining the suitability of these products for their individual situation. Consumer accepts all responsibility by purchasing and using these products.

Measuring Your Pet
Using a soft tape measure or a piece of string, measure around your dog's neck, in the area where the collar will lay. For the comfort of your dog, you should be able to fit two fingers between your dog's neck and their collar (one finger for small dogs). That number you get is your dog's neck size. Take that number, and find a collar size that includes that measurement. If your dog is still growing, make sure that the collar can grow with your dog too. The neck size is important if you are having embroidery done on a collar, so we know where to put the wording.

Shipping
Orders are usually shipped within 3 to 5 business days, as they are custom made when ordered. If there is an unexpected delay, we will notify you. We also offer a Rush Service for 15.00 that includes shipping. Rush orders ship next business day via priority express mail. Please note the desired Rush Service in the Add Comments to Your Order box upon checkout. We are currently set up to only ship to the US, but please contact us for a quote if you are interested in International Shipping and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Return Pawlicy
We do offer a Return/Exchange policy for up to 15 days from purchase. Please contact us within that time for a refund or exchange. All returns and exchanges must be in the original unused condition.  We do not accept returns for excessive pulling, scratching or chewing and we do not accept returns after 15 days from purchase.

The item(s) must be returned within 10 days of receipt in new unused condition.  All returns/exchanges are subject to a $9.00 fee to cover the cost of materials and shipping the new collar.  PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO MEASURE YOUR PET!  It is YOUR responsibility to ensure you order the correct width and size for your pet. If you need to return your collar please contact us to make arrangements.  Please include a copy of your invoice and a note explaining the reason for the return as well as a check or money order for 9.00 to cover the additional fees. All refunds will be minus shipping as those fees are non-refundable.  Returns are NOT accepted after 15 days from the purchase date.  Returns received after that time will be refused.

There are NO RETURNS or exchanges on personalized or custom orders unless OFF THE LEASH was at fault. Please inspect your collar/leash upon arrival and contact us immediately if you find a defect or error. We must be contacted with 5 days of receipt regarding any error on our part.
